Poker Tag Team Event Rules
Team Setup

Each team consists of two players:

One player will wear a blue ribbon

One player will wear a red ribbon
-
No partner? No problem! If you don’t have a partner, you can register individually and we will assign you one.
Gameplay Format

First 10 Levels:
-
Each player plays independently with their own chip stack.
-
Re-entries are allowed until the end of Level 10.
-
No stack merging or stack choice is allowed before Level 10.

After Level 10:
-
Stacks are combined at the end of Level 10 (after registration closes).
-
Each team will have one unified stack moving forward.
Tag Team Mechanics (Post-Level 10)

Starting from Level 11:
-
Blues play during blue levels
-
Reds play during red levels
-
Players alternate each level based on ribbon color.
-
Important:
-
The assigned color must play during their designated level.
-
No switching mid-level.
Final Table Rules

The final table will consist of 10 teams.
-
Once the final table is reached:
-
Teams are allowed 30 seconds of discussion per decision (per card dealt).
-
Each team has three discussion cards they can use throughout the final table.
-
Outside of these rules, no discussion or coaching between partners is allowed during hands.
Additional Information

If one partner busts during the first 10 levels, the remaining partner continues playing individually.

After the stack merge (post-Level 10), the team continues playing with their combined stack according to the color rotation system.
