Svitlana Derevlianko Gets Her Aces Cracked

Level 9: 1000/1500 (1500)
Entries: 86/156

Stefano Boi raised from UTG and was met with a 3-bet from Svitlana Derevlianko. The flop came J310, where Derevlianko made a bet of 8,000 after her opponent checked, and Boi made the call. The turn brought the 8, completing possible straights, but Derevlianko remained unfazed, firing 25,000 into the pot.

After some thought, Boi put Derevlianko all-in for her remaining 76,500 chips. “I can’t fold this,” she said, calling and revealing AA, only to find herself up against Boi’s pocket 1010 for a set. The river changed nothing, sealing Derevlianko’s fate and sending her to the rail or possibly to the cashier.

Stefano Boi extends his chip lead and has over 400,000 chips.
