Salvatore Dimartino Leads After Day 1a

The Grand Event kicked off in a “grand” fashion with exactly 100 entries getting into the mix on the first of six opening flights.

Italy’s Salvatore Dimartino was the star of the day after bagging a Day 1a chip-leading stack of 637,000 after 13 blind levels of 50 minutes each. Giovanni Nava (529,000) and Alberto Ricco Galluzzo (518,000) also bagged more than 500,000.

Meanwhile, Rosarie Roberts (374,000), Oyvind Stanges (215,000), and Unibet Poker Ambassador David Lappin (145,000) were also among the players to find a bag on Day 1a. Check out the chip counts of the 19 survivors from Day 1a below:
