Fabio Peluso (pictured below) opened the action from under the gun, and Zigmas Pekarskas decided to defend his big blind. The flop brought 3♣2♦8♥, and after a check from Pekarskas, Peluso fired a bet of 250,000. Pekarskas made the call, keeping things interesting.
The turn came 8♥, and once again, Peluso bet after a check, this time for 750,000. Pekarskas still wasn’t ready to back down and made the call.
With a river of 4♥, Pekarskas checked for the third time. Peluso asked for a count and, upon learning Pekarskas had around 1.4 million left, bet 1 million. Pekarskas thought for about 30 seconds before tossing in a single chip to call. Peluso quickly revealed Qc Qs for pocket queens, and Pekarskas mucked his hand, giving Peluso a pot worth over four million chips.
