Jacques Pelletier checked the K♦5♦7♥Q♥ board after the turn with already around 50,000 in the pot when Frederic Soete bet 18,000. Pelletier raised to 50,000 and Soete called.

The K♥ river was an action card for both players. Pelletier fired out for 72,000 with just 8,000 behind. Soete jammed and Pelletier called.

Pelletier turned over the K♠Q♣ for a full house. Soete improved to the nut-flush with A♥6♥. This wasn’t good enough for Soete and he doubled Pelletier early on Day 2.
