Tournament Deciding Flip Between The Greeks

Level 40: 500,000/1,000,000 (1,000,000)
Entries: 3/2045

Theodoros Ampelikiotis opened the action to 2 million on the button and was met with a hefty 3-bet to 7 million from fellow Greek Nikolaos Konstas in the small blind. After some deliberation, Theodoros decided to go all-in for 26.8 million, and Konstas quickly called.

  • Theodoros Ampelikiotis: JJ
  • Nikolaos Konstas: AK

It was a classic flip for a massive chip lead, with Theodoros at risk. The board ran out a low 93286, holding up his pocket jacks and securing a monumental double-up! With this win, Theodoros has regained the chip lead as the battle intensifies.

We caught Theodoros eating some nuts after he won the hand and made a funny picture of him with his mouth full xD

Nikolaos Konstas – 26,000,0000
Theodoros Ampelikiotis – 54,000,000

Day 2 Comes to a Close with 53 Left in the MPF Grand Event!

After an intense day of poker action, Day 2 has wrapped up, leaving only 53 players standing. Malta’s own Andre Grech sits at the top with a commanding 5,625,000 chips as they head into Day 3, which starts at 15:00 tomorrow. Each remaining player is now guaranteed at least €2,200, but they’re all eyeing the ultimate prize of €140,000 for first place!

Against the Odds: Stulhofer Finds an Ace on the River!

Level 21: 15000/30,000 (30,000)
Entries: 89/2045

Germany’s Aschraf Khader opened to 60,000 under the gun and faced a shove for 405,000 from Jaroslav Stulhofer on the button. Action folded back to Khader, who instantly called. The showdown revealed:

  • Jaroslav Stulhofer: AQ
  • Aschraf Khader: QQ

Stulhofer was dominated, and the flop 4K9 kept Khader firmly ahead. The turn 9 didn’t change anything, and it seemed like Stulhofer was on his way out. But, in a dramatic twist, the river A arrived, securing a miraculous double-up for Stulhofer and bringing him back to nearly an average stack.

Aschraf Khader – 1,500.000
Jaroslav Stulhofer – 865,000
