Multi-Way Action On Table 8
Level 10: 1000/2000 (2000)
Entries: 185/339
Clint Norman Jeffery opened to 9,000 with his 29,000 stack, only to be met by an all-in shove from Domenico Tortomasi for 42,000. As the action heated up, Roberto Zuffo asked Jeffery how much he had behind before quickly reshoving. Jeffery made the snap call, setting up an exciting three-way showdown:
- Domenico Tortomasi: A♦J♦
- Roberto Zuffo: 10♦10♥ (two red tens)
- Clint Norman Jeffery: Q♦Q♣ (pair of queens)
The flop came 4♦J♣K♣, with both players at risk still ahead of Zuffo’s tens. The 3♦ on the turn added extra tension as Jeffery nervously repeated, “No diamond, no diamond!” The river brought a red card—luckily for him, it was the 2♥, a complete brick.
Jeffery secured a much-needed triple-up, while Tortomasi took a side pot of 26,000. Zuffo, however, walked away empty-handed from this intense pot.
Clint Norman Jeffery: 85,000
Domenico Tortomasi: 26,000
Roberto Zuffo: 40,000
Full Double For Martz
Level 9: 1000/1500 (1500)
Entries: 189/339
Asiil Maye, one of the tournament chip leaders, opened from the cutoff only to face a 3-bet to 10,000 from Marcel Frank Martz on the button. Without hesitation, Maye put Martz all-in for his remaining 36,500, and the German quickly called.
The showdown revealed:
- Marcel Frank Martz: K♠K♣
- Asiil Maye: Q♥10♥
With Maye needing a miracle to take down the pot, the board ran out 7♠2♠6♦8♦3♣. Aside from a brief sweat with a gutshot straight draw, Maye found no help, and Martz’s kings held strong for a full double-up.
Marcel Frank Martz: 77,000
Asiil Maye: 180,000
Lindell’s Aces Hold Strong on a Triple-King Board
Level 9: 1000/1500 (1500)
Entries: 205/339
Yves Thalmann opened from the button, only to be met with a 3-bet from Simon Lindell. With 20,000 already in the pot, the two saw a stunning flop of K♣K♠K♦. Lindell led out with a small bet of 3,000, and Thalmann made a quick call.
The turn brought the 5♥, and Lindell continued his cautious line with another small bet of 5,500, which Thalmann again called. On the river 3♥, Lindell bet 12,500 into Thalmann’s remaining stack of 26,500. Thalmann took his time but ultimately made the call.
Lindell revealed A♥A♣, and Thalmann mucked his cards, unable to overcome the powerhouse hand. A steady line from Lindell, who took down the pot with a full house on a triple-King board.
Simon Lindell: 190,000
Yves Thalmann: 14,000
