Tino Puzicha Wins €230 Bounty Hunter Days Malta

Germany’s Tino Puzicha navigated through a huge field of 416 entries to win the one-day €230 Bounty Hunter Days Malta as part of the Malta Poker Festival on Thursday evening for €7,347 plus bounties.

Dobos Doubles With a Set of Sevens

Jozsef Dobos jammed for nearly 60,000 with a little less in the pot on the turn with the 6♥7♥10♦3♣ already on the board. Massimo Bruno went into the tank for more than a minute before he called.

Dobos was ahead with his set but had to fade a heart that didn’t pair the board to survive and win a huge pot. The chips went to Dobos after the blank J♠ river completed the board.

Wick Doubles Through Toffel

Daniel Toffel opened from early position before Lukas Wick three-bet jammed from the blinds for 11,900. Toffel found the call and Wick was at risk in a race for his tournament life.

Wick won the flip but not until the river after the 2♠A♥6♠10♠K♣ ran out on the board.

Yuen Didn’t Want a Call

Player 2 opened for 2,500 from under the gun. Anne-Marie Yuen defended her big blind before checking the 4♦5♣2♣ flop.

Player 2 bet 2,500 and Yuen called to see the 10♠ turn. Yuen checked again. Player 2 bet 5,000. Yuen raised to 10,300 and Player 2 called.

Yuen led out for 10,000 on the 6♠ river. Player 2 tanked for a few moments before she called.

“Jacks?” asked Yuen as she turned over the 10♣7♣.

“No, just sevens,” responded Player 2 who turned over the 7♠7♦

“I wasn’t happy that you called,” said Yuen. “I thought I would lose if you called.”
