Time for Dinner

Players are about to head off on a 60-minute dinner break. Blinds will increase to 3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante when the action resumes.

Late registration will be closed after the dinner break. We will update the stacks from the entire field during the second half of the dinner break.

Adams Felts Toffel

Level 10: 2,000/4,000 (4,000)
Entries: 113/289

Daniel Toffel jammed for 10 big blinds from the small blind. Mark Adams tanked for a short while before he opted to call from the big blind for more than half his stack.

Daniel Toffel: Q7
Mark Adams: K7

Both players bricked the 69JJ5 runout. Adams’s king did the job and Toffel will need to re-enter if he wants a chance at finding a bag on Day 1b.

Mark Adams – 85,000
Daniel Toffel – 0

Grech Wins Battle of Locals Against Arnsby

Level 9: 1,500/3,000 (3,000)
Entries: 124/289

Joseph Grech and Unibet’s Kat Arnsby are both integral members of the vibrant poker community in Malta. The duo just got tangled up in the following hand.

Both players checked the 768 flop before Grech checked again on the J turn. Arnsby jammed and Grech called off a pot-sized bet for his stack of 15,000.

Joseph Grech: KJ
Kat Arnsby: Q6

Arnsby was ahead on the flop but was far behind on the turn. No love came for Arnsby on the A river and effectively Grech and Arnsby swapped stacks.

Joseph Grech – 45,000
Kat Arnsby – 25,000

Satellite Begins

The €70 satellite to the Grand Event just kicked off. Yesterday’s satellite attracted more than 200 entries and it appears today’s satellite will likely do the same with already 110 players in their seats to start the action.

Best of luck to all the players in winning their seat into the Grand Event.

Adams Ousts Two

Level 9: 1,500/3,000 (3,000)
Entries: 138/287

Ian Oakley had a stack of around 60,000 in the middle with Scott Ashley committing his stack north of 80,000. Niel Adams had both players covered and also felt it was worth to get involved on the 3A9 flop.

Ian Oakley: A9
Scott Ashley: A10
Niel Adams: 33

Oakley was drawing to the case ace or one of the two nines for a full house, while Ashley had a flush draw. Adams was ahead with his set of treys but Ashely completed his flush draw on the 7 turn. The 7 river paired the board for Adams to come back on top with a full house to eliminated Ashley and Oakley.

Niel Adams – 260,000
Scott Ashley – 0
Ian Oakley – 0
