Guided City Tour on Friday at 10:30 AM

The Malta Poker Festival and Globetrotting Poker have combined forces to bring some unique activities throughout the week away from the tables.

If you have the time, we highly recommend the private bus charter to the majestic regions of Valletta and Mosta. The departure is from the Hilton at 10:30 a.m. and gives you a chance not only to enjoy the tour but enjoy it with fellow poker aficionados. This is also perfect if you travelled to Malta with a non-poker-playing friend or partner.

We wish the crew tons of fun away from the tables tomorrow morning and the best of luck when they are back in action at Portomaso Casino.

Delfino Runs Rockets Into Quad Kings

Level 10: 1,000/2,000 (2,000)
Entries: 135/260

A raising war took place once again between Eros Nastasi and Luca Delfino where both players had their stacks in the middle for a pot near 200,000 with Delfino at risk.

Luca Delfino: AA
Eros Nastasi: KK

It was looking like ‘cooler city’ for Nastasi as he it appeared likely that he would be on just a few big blinds after his second-best hand ran into the best hand.

The table, especially Nastasi, erupted after the K6K spiked the flop to immediately improve Nastasi to four cowboys.

Delfino was drawing dead on the Q turn with the Q river making the hand official.

After wishing Deflino a good game, Nastasi was busy discussing the epic hand with friends from surrounding tables.

Jacks Good for Delfino

Level 10: 1,000/2,000 (2,000)
Entries: 139/260

Eros Nastasi opened the button for 4,000 before Luca Delfino three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Nastasi paused for less than a minute before he called.

Delfino continued for 9,000 on the K67 flop. Nastasi called before both players checked on the 6 turn and again on the [invalid notations] river.

Delfino turned over the JJ and this was good enough on a scary board for jacks as Nastasi tossed his hand face down into the muck.

Only Quads for Eketrapp

Level 9: 1,000/1,500 (1,500)
Entries: 155/260

Stig Eketrapp opened for 3,500 from under the gun before Arnasalon Chengalanee three-bet to 9,700 from the hijack. Eketrapp paused for about 30 seconds before he called.

Eketrapp put his hoodie over his face as the 7K7 landed on the flop before he checked. Chengalanee fired out for 11,000. Eketrapp jammed for 26,500 and Chengalanee snap-called only to want to toss his cards a few tables away when he saw what he was up against. It was all fun and games as the pretend toss wound up with his cards being shown as well.

Arnasalon Chengalanee: K10

The €500,000 guarantee is on track to be smashed. Will the MPF Autumn Edition Grand Event set new attendance records? Time will tell!

“I had to go for it”

Level 8: 600/1,200 (1,200)
Entries: 161/260

Mattia Festia opened for 2,500 and was called by Jeoffrey Duytschaever before Guts Poker’s Jonathan Briscoe White three-bet to 10,500. Festiva jacked it up to 23,500. Dutschaever folded before White five-bet jammed for 60,800. Festia called and the cards were turned over.

Jonathan Briscoe White: 1010
Mattia Festia: AK

“I thought you might have had that,” White said. “I had to go for it.”

White’s tens were good for a double after Festia’s big slick didn’t connect with the 528J4 runout.
