The legendary MPF Seniors Event kicked off just 20 minutes ago with a fantastic turnout! Hosted by the charismatic Andreas Hoivold, this €300 buy-in event has already drawn 150 unique players and counting. Each participant started with a 25,000 stack and is navigating 20-minute levels in this thrilling tournament.

Players have up to 2 re-entries if they want another shot, there are 8 levels of late registration and a soft cap of 200 players due to the venue’s full capacity, seats are filling up fast. This promises to be an exciting battle of skill and experience as our seniors take to the tables for a chance at MPF glory!

Day 3 of the MPF Grand Event Begins! 🏆

The action is back underway as 53 players return to the felt, unsealing their bags from yesterday to resume the battle for a place at the final table. With blinds at 30,000/60,000 and a 60,000 ante, the average stack sits at 1.9 million, providing ample room for strategic plays, big risks, and thrilling hands.

Leading the pack is Malta’s Andre Grech, who commands an impressive 5,6 million chips. Following closely behind is Nikolaos Angelou Konstas from Greece, with 4,5 million, and Glen Gaines of the United Kingdom sitting strong with 4,2 million. These players, along with the rest of the field, are all fighting for the coveted MPF Grand trophy and the massive €140,000 top prize.

With 75-minute levels, players will have the time they need to make calculated moves and hunt down the chip lead. We’ll be playing down to the final 9 today, setting the stage for tomorrow’s intense finale.

Day 2 Recap: Chip Count + Photos

Day 2 of the MPF Grand Event saw 306 players take their seats, all hoping to make it through to Day 3. After a full day of intense poker action, only 53 players managed to bag chips for the night, securing their place in the next stage of the tournament.

Leading the pack is Malta’s own Andre Grech, who ended the day with an impressive 5,625,000 chips. Following closely behind are Nikolaos Konstas from Greece with 4,540,000, and Glen Gaines from the UK with 4,190,000.

Yesterday also saw some thrilling side events wrap up, adding to the electric atmosphere:

  • LuxonPay Mystery Bounty crowned its winner, delivering some exciting bounties and payouts.
  • Ladies First Event welcomed 108 entries, with C.S. emerging victorious, claiming €4,800 along with a WWF Package.
  • APAT Maltese Championship Day 1 wrapped up, advancing 87 players from an incredible 578 entries to Day 2.
  • UDSO GOLD Highroller attracted 77 entries, with 22 players advancing to today’s Day 2—where late registration remains open for those looking to jump in!

After an intense day of poker action, Day 2 has wrapped up, leaving only 53 players standing. Malta’s own Andre Grech sits at the top with a commanding 5,625,000 chips as they head into Day 3, which starts at 15:00 tomorrow. Each remaining player is now guaranteed at least €2,200, but they’re all eyeing the ultimate prize of €140,000 for first place!

Domenico Lando Wins a Massive Flip to Join the Chip Leaders!

Domenico Lando went all-in with [invalid notations] against his opponent’s [invalid notations] for a pot worth nearly 2.5 million chips. The board ran out A2910J, with Lando finding an ace in the window and holding strong to the river. This crucial win catapults him into the top five chip stacks of Day 2, while his opponent chose to stay anonymous.

Germany’s Aschraf Khader opened to 60,000 under the gun and faced a shove for 405,000 from Jaroslav Stulhofer on the button. Action folded back to Khader, who instantly called. The showdown revealed:

Stulhofer was dominated, and the flop 4K9 kept Khader firmly ahead. The turn 9 didn’t change anything, and it seemed like Stulhofer was on his way out. But, in a dramatic twist, the river A arrived, securing a miraculous double-up for Stulhofer and bringing him back to nearly an average stack.

Both players held the same hand, but the flop K69 brought two clubs, giving Mellidis a freeroll with a flush draw. The turn 5 kept things tense, but the river 2 completed the flush for the Greek, allowing Mellidis to scoop the pot.
