There has been lots of action on Table 6. First, Chris Read doubled a short stack when she three-bet jammed a king-high flop with two hearts against Unibet Poker qualifier William Johnstone. Johnstone had a king but didn’t improve to two pair or more to get ahead with the board eventually reading the K♣9♥Q♥5♥Q♣.
Shortly after, fireworks erupted. Kjetil Hanstvedt had his stack of 480,000 committed, John Madden had his 135,000 stack committed with William Johnstone yet to action and already part of some of the action. Johnstone deliberated for a couple of minutes before he called.
John Madden: A♦J♣
Kjetil Hanstvedt: A♥K♥
William Johnstone: A♦Q♦
Hanstvedt was ahead and stayed that way on the 6♥8♣5♣. However, the J♦ turn pushed Madded on top for a potential triple-up with Hanstvedt still ahead in the side pot.
The K♠ river was certainly a card Hanstvedt wanted to see as this gave him the entire kit and kaboodle as he ousted Madden and doubled through Johnstone.
Kjetil Hanstvedt – 1,200,000
William Johnstone – 350,000
John Madden – 0

A bunch of players busted quickly on the bubble. We will update the full list of eliminations after each blind level. For now, we can share how Tugce Hallner hit the rail for a min-cash of €1,110.
Hallner opened for 28,000 from middle position. Antoine Talvard three-bet jammed for 285,000 and Hallner went into the tank before she called off for a little less.
Tugce Hallner: A♦J♦
Antoine Talvard: 10♥10♠
Hallner bricked the 3♠3♥9♦K♠K♦ board. Talvard tapped the table and said “good game” as Hallner was getting ready to head to the cashier.
Antoine Talvard – 600,000
Tugce Hallner – 0

Nicolaj D’Antoni three-bet jammed for 316,000 from middle position and was called by Unibet Poker William Johnstone who originally opened from one seat to his right.
The other hands played out and a massive crowd gathered before the cards were turned over.
Nicolaj D’Antoni: K♠K♥
William Johnstone: Q♦Q♣
D’Antoni was ahead on the A♣2♣10♠ flop but his opponent had more outs with a flush draw after the 9♣ landed on the turn. It wasn’t a club that ruined D’Antoni’s dreams. Instead it as the Q♥ spiking the river to improve Johnstone to a set to send D’Antoni to the showers before the bubble.
The entire room cheered after players were in the money. It was quite an unfortunate ending for D’Antoni to hit the rail on a bad beat but congratulations to the other 159 players in securing a cash.
We will have photos and/or video footage of the bubble action later in our coverage.
William Johnstone – 1 million
Nicolaj D’Antoni – 0

No time like the bubble for a photo-op. The Chip Race Podcast co-host David Lappin, Guts’ Jonathan Briscoe White, and FLIP ambassador Ann-Roos Callens sitting side-by-side on Table 14.
David Lappin – 770,000
Jonathan Briscoe White – 470,000
Ann-Roos Callens – 230,000

During the first hand of hand-for-hand, Giulio Di Salvo checked with the 9♦7♦K♦3♣8♦ on the board and close to 400,000 in the pot. Guillaume Bessolles jammed for more than the 415,000 Di Salvo had in his stack and Di Salvo tanked for several minutes before he called.
Bessolles turned over air with [invalid notations]Jh4hp/pcn] and Di Salvo heard the sounds of “nice hand” from around the table including from a short-stacked William Kassouf.
Giulio Di Salvo – 1,200,000
Guillaume Bessollas – 600,000

Stig Eketrapp checked with the J♦10♣10♥8♥6♣ on the board after the turn. Gergi Kass jammed and Eketrapp went into the tank for a few minutes before he called.
Eketrapped showed the A♣K♣ and Kass slammed the table in joy after he tabled the Q♦Q♣ to survive the bubble and double his stack.
Stig Eketrapp – 650,000
Gergi Kass – 600,000

The clock has been stopped with 6:30 left on the clock of Level 18 as the action will go hand-for-hand on the money bubble with just 160 players remaining.

The €1,100 High Roller is proving to be popular with already 70 entries in the mix during Level 4. Late registration is not only open during the entire eight levels of Day 1, but also during the first two blind levels during tomorrow’s Day 2. So, in other words, this will get a bit bigger than it already is!
MPF founder Ivonne Montealegre, satellite qualifier Vanessa Webley, Daniel Sahlin, Joshua Stewart, Peter de Bruin, and James Clarke are among the players in the mix.
Best of luck to all of the High Rollers!

The action is just three away from the money after Georgios Liperis, Kikimuma Kitete, Maciej Toma, and Kevin Berkhout all hit the rail.
We will do our best to catch every hand on the bubble when the action goes hand-for-hand. It is possible multiple players hit the rail simultaneously for an anticlimatic bubble but let’s hope for some drama and suspense.
