Stig Eketrapp: A7
Kamil Skawinski: KJ

“Yes!” shouted Skawinski in delight after Eketrapp bricked the 3 river to hit the rail in 25th place. Ciro Perna lost his short stack at another table and the action was down to just three tables.

Hanstvedt Takes Lead After Rivering Full House

Level 26: 50,000/100,000 (100,000)
Entries: 26/1,444

Andreas Liperis min-raised from the cutoff before Kjetil Hanstvedt checked back his option from the big blind.

Hanstvedt took action from the start with a bet of 250,000 on the 1045 flop. Liperis called and Hanstvedt fired out a bigger bet of 750,000 on the J turn.

The 5 paired the board on the river and Hanstvedt jammed for more than the 1.3 million Liperis had in his stack. Liperis called it off and couldn’t believe what he saw to hit the rail in 27th place.

Hanstvedt, who took fifth place during the last MPF Grand Event in the spring, turned over the 54 for the full house. Liperis couldn’t believe his luck as he was ahead until the river with A9 for a flopped flush.

Meanwhile, Hanstvedt appeared to be with the overall chip lead with just 25 players remaining. Marko Cosic and Clausin Sanz also lost their stacks around the same time as Hanstvedt won this monster pot.

No-Look Jam by Arjut

Level 26: 50,000/100,000 (100,000)
Entries: 28/1,444

There is the no-look jam in basketball. They produce tremendous highlight clips. Allan Arjut meanwhile, maybe didn’t invent the no-look jam in poker but he had fun doing it anyway.

Arjut jammed for 640,000 from the small blind without looking at his cards and was called by Paul-Vlad Craciunas from the big blind.

Allan Arjut: 104
Paul-Craciunas: KQ

Arjut had a sweat on the 53A flop and although he bricked the 7 turn he got there for a no-look double after pairing up on the 4 river. Meanwhile, Junyu Liu and Fabian Bartuschk both hit the rail to leave just 28 players remaining.

White Runs Into D’Amore’s Rockets

Level 25: 40,000/80,000 (80,000)
Entries: 31/1,444

Guts Poker’s Jonathan Briscoe White came into the final day full of energy and ready to go. Unfortunately, the cards and table didn’t cooperate with him too much and now he is on the rail.

White jammed for a little less than 1.1 million from the hijack. Alessandro D’Amore tanked for a few moments before he cold-called from the button and the rest of the table folded.

Jonathan Briscoe White: 33
Alessandro D’Amore: AA

White got no help on the 286 flop.

“Four for the sweat,” asked Marko Cosic who was also seated at the table.

No four came on the J turn but one did but a little too late for a sweat on the 4 river.

“There it is,” Allan Arjut said while laughing a little with Cosic.

“Good game all,” White said on his way out in 32nd place. “Good luck, everyone.”

Meanwhile, Georgio Accardi and Markus Ganglbauer also hit the rail to leave 31 players remaining.

Entries: 35/1,444

Paul Theeman jammed for 805,000 from the cutoff and was called by Allan Arjut from the button.

Paul Theeman: AK
Allan Arjut: A10

Theeman was ahead and even improved to Broadway to double through Arjut after the QJ5910 ran out on the board.

Accardi Nails a Flush

Level 25: 40,000/80,000 (80,000)
Entries: 35/1,444

Salvatore Incardona min-raised from under the gun before Robert Kontkanen three-bet to 1,600,000 from the cutoff. Giorgio Accardi went into the tank for more than a minute before he called off his stack of 280,000 from the small blind and Incardona quickly folded after that.

Giorgio Accardi: Q10
Robert Kontkanen: AK

Accardi immediately left his seat expecting the worst. But instead he sat back down quickly after the 78J53 board improved him to a flush to double his stack instead of exiting the tournament.

Meanwhile, Marco Cipriani, Sebastian Mortensen, and Sabatino Pascarella all recently lost their stacks to leave just 35 players remaining.

Harnes Doubles With Ladies

Level 24: 30,000/60,000 (60,000)
Entries: 38/1,444

William Kassouf chipped up during the opening blind level. Near the end of the blind level, he opened for 130,000 from middle position. Damien Labaune called from the cutoff before Thomas Harnes jacked it up for half his stack for a three-bet to 300,000.

Kassouf asked to see Harnes’s stack and tanked for a couple of minutes before he raised to 600,000. Labaune tanked for a couple of minutes before he folded while Harnes snap-called the rest of his stack.

Thomas Harnes: QQ
William Kassouf: K10

“I was hoping for some heads-up action for a side pot,” Kassouf said before the 46A came on the flop.

Kassouf might be many things, but apparently Nostradamus isn’t one of them at least in this hand.

“Jack of spades,” Kassouf asked for. Instead, the 2 came on the turn.

“King of hearts?” Kassouf pleaded. That didn’t come either. Instead the blank 6 river completed the board to earn Harnes a double.

Meanwhile, Soren Dalgaard hit the rail just before the blinds increase leaving just 38 players remaining for the title.

William Kassouf – 3.2 million
Damien Labaune – 1.8 million
Thomas Harnes – 1.5 million
