Pendov was for good reasons disappointed on the 4♠6♠3♠Q♥Q♣ runout as this allowed Hetland to crack his cowboys with trips.
“That’s the second time this has already happened to me against him,” Pendov shared.
Pendov still has plenty of time to turn things around, although now he will need to run it up with a short stack to get started.
Meanwhile, things went differently for Romain Nardin, who around the same time hit the rail in 48th place for €2,040.

Junyu Liu got a jam through on William Kassouf in a blind vs. blind situation despite plenty of table talk from Kassouf. Shortly after, Liu won another hand for a bigger pot.
Andrei Roman-Tamaduianu jammed his short stack from early position before Junyu Liu came along for the ride from the button.

Fabian Bartuschk opened for most of his 460,000 from early position. Allan Arjut jammed over the top from the big blind. Bartuschk went into the tank for about a minute before he called.

Cards are in the air for the start of the third and final day of the 2023 Malta Poker Festival Autumn Edition €550 Grand Event. Blinds will start at 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante and increase every hour.
The blinds will increase a little faster during the end-stages with a 40-minute clock with six players remaining and a 20-minute clock for the heads-up battle.
