Do You Have €1? That’s All it Takes!

The Unibet Deepstack Open (UDSO), which powers the Malta Poker Festival Grand Event has stepped it up in a huge way as they will be hosting a satellite on Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. CEST at Unibet Poker.

All it takes is €1 to enter with a €550 Grand Event ticket awaiting the winner with UDSO satellite tickets on tap for those that came close with no cigar.

When you think about the fact that you can’t really buy anything for €1 these days, this is an absolute bargain. Worst case, you lose a Euro while having fun. Best case is, that you are freerolling the Malta Poker Festival Grand Event compliments of the UDSO.

Special thanks to Alex Henry for adding more value to the Malta Poker Festival.

Super High Roller Begins

The €2,500 Super High Roller just kicked off with a tidy field of 11 entries. Late registration will remain open throughout the entire first day and also will stay open during the first blind level of tomorrow’s final day.

The Irish duo of David Lappin and Aidan Quinlan are having a quick chat before hopping in to join the likes of Fabian Bartuschk, Alessandro Crisafulli, Ondrej Drozd, Paul Frost, Ivan Furniet Martinez, Samuel Goodman, Daniel Kalinowski, Richard Kellet, and Maurice McCarthy.

Cory Desmond was also around for the chat while considering playing the event.

“When are you guys going to sit?” asked Desmond to Lappin and Quinlan.

“After you sit,” replied Quinlan who got a laugh from everyone within hearing distance.

Best of luck to all of the Super High Roller players.

Contribute to Cancer Research in the €230 Friday 2 Stack

Recently crowned Norwegian champion Rolf Arne Bechstrom is hosting a fantastic event in the €230 Friday 2 Stack at 7 p.m.

Some of the rake in this event will go towards cancer research, which unfortunately hits home for the usually cheerful Bechstrom.

The event boasts 20-minute blind levels with a 20,000 starting stack with unlimited re-entries available during the first eight blind levels.

We wish Bechstrom and the rest of the field the best of luck in winning this charitable event.

“Oh Shit… Oh Dear”

Level 7: 1,000/1,500 (1,500)
Entries: 164/257

A big pot just went down on Table 11 between Daniel Kauhausen and Lucien Jouanneau. There was about 20,000 in the pot when Kauhausen check-called a bet of 4,000 by Jouanneau on the 104A flop.

Kauhausen checked again on the 3 turn. Jouanneau tossed out a bet of 20,000. Kauhausen went into the tank for about a minute before he jammed for more than the 66,000 his opponent had in his stack.

“Oh shit,” Kauhausen said in a quiet voice obviously not pleased he was called.

Lucien Jouanneau: AA
Daniel Kauhausen: KJ

Kauhausen was in trouble but had some hope to hit a flush or a gutshot to Broadway. But no flush or gutshot completed on the [invalid notations]2c[/[invalid notations] river for Kauhausen to double Jouanneau.

“Oh dear,” Kauhausen said after the hand still having some regrets.

Lucien Jouanneau – 160,000
