Stig Eketrapp opened for 3,500 from under the gun before Arnasalon Chengalanee three-bet to 9,700 from the hijack. Eketrapp paused for about 30 seconds before he called.

Eketrapp put his hoodie over his face as the 7♠K♥7♦ landed on the flop before he checked. Chengalanee fired out for 11,000. Eketrapp jammed for 26,500 and Chengalanee snap-called only to want to toss his cards a few tables away when he saw what he was up against. It was all fun and games as the pretend toss wound up with his cards being shown as well.

Chengalanee was drawing dead to Eketrapp’s flopped quads after the 10♠ landed on the turn with the 8♣ completing the board on the river.

Late registration has closed for Day 1c of the Grand Event. The field attracted 260 entries to bring the total up to 548 entries in total when taking into account the 288 entries attracted on Day 1a and Day 1b combined.

The €500,000 guarantee is on track to be smashed. Will the MPF Autumn Edition Grand Event set new attendance records? Time will tell!

Mattia Festia opened for 2,500 and was called by Jeoffrey Duytschaever before Guts Poker’s Jonathan Briscoe White three-bet to 10,500. Festiva jacked it up to 23,500. Dutschaever folded before White five-bet jammed for 60,800. Festia called and the cards were turned over.

White’s tens were good for a double after Festia’s big slick didn’t connect with the 5♠2♣8♦J♣4♦ runout.

The €70 satellite for the MPF €550 Grand Event just kicked off. There are already 107 entries, meaning nearly a dozen seats are already on the line with more to come.

Christina Read just dropped by our desk (we will get a new photo of her and her amazing chip protector when she is back in the Grand Event) sharing with us how her second bullet ran out on a bad beat.

She shared she lost her first lost her first bullet when her ace-king suited didn’t win a flip against tens. The next one was a bit dirtier as there were two kings on the board after the turn when she got it in with king-jack against king-eight. Guess what came on the river? Unfortunately for Read, it was an eight and now she is going to try to win a seat in the satellite and either way get back into the Grand Event on a future opening flight.

Hendrik Kwiatowski checked before Antonino Paratore went into the tank for about a minute with around 35,000 in the pot and the 2♣K♥Q♥J♣3♣ on the board after the river.

Paratore eventually jammed his stack of 37,900 and was snap-called by Kwiatowski. It was a huge cooler for Kwiatowski who turned over the J♦J♠ for a set of jacks. Unfortunately for him, Paratore nailed a bigger set on the flop to win the pot after showing his K♣K♠ for a set of cowboys.

Alberto Cigliano checked with the K♥9♥J♥5♣5♦ on the board after the river. Bjarke Matthiesen bet 15,000 into the pot of exactly 35,000. Cigliano tanked for about a minute before he called.

Matthiesen turned over the A♦A♣ for two-pair aces-over-fives to win the hand after Cigliano mucked his cards.

Karl Linder jammed into a pot north of 30,000 with the 2♠8♠10♠4♣9♣ on the board after the turn. Mikael Skantze went into the tank before he called.

Linder turned over the A♠4♠ for the nut flush.

“I thought you might have that,” said Skantze as he mucked his hand.

A player at the table spoke up about how it was an ‘all-in and a call’ and the cards were retrieved from the muck showing Skantz held the 8♥5♥ before he left the table.
